Customers bear the cost of shipping samples. It is recommended that your company have a FedEx, DHL, or UPS account to send the Waybill to ESPIDOS. ESPIDOS will provide you with the measurements and weight of the box in which the requested samples go.

Minimum order quantity (MOQ) is the minimum order quantity per style that the factory can accept. This quantity can be divided into several colors. ESPIDOS MOQ is 200 pieces per style, in 2 or 3 colors.

When the client sends a purchase order to ESPIDOS, a proforma invoice is issued with a request for a deposit payment of 30% of the value of the merchandise. The client can make the deposit payment to the ESPIDOS account in the United States or to the ESPIDOS account in Colombia depending on the terms of the transaction. Once the advance is made, production planning begins, and confirmation samples are sent to the client for approval. When the customer approves, bulk production begins. Once the production is completed, the client makes the payment of the remaining 70% and the merchandise is delivered with 4 documents: 1) The Commercial Invoice, The Packing List, The Bill of Lading (BOL), and The Certificate originally.

A Bill of Lading (BOL) is an official document used for all international cargo shipments and provides a detailed list of goods being shipped. It is also a binding agreement between the sender and the recipient. It includes all the details necessary for the carrier to process the cargo and ensure it reaches you safely. In the BOL, you will be able to see the address the cargo was shipped from, the address it is supposed to be delivered to, the total weight, the number of boxes, the cargo class, and the description of the goods being shipped.

EXW means Ex Works, this means that ESPIDOS delivers the products directly from the factory to the cargo agent designated by the client and it is you as the buyer who is responsible for the transportation of the cargo by air or sea from Colombia to its final place of destination. in North America or Europe.

Free on board (FOB). FOB is an international trade term that indicates whether the seller or the buyer will be responsible for ensuring that the goods are loaded safely at the air or seaport of shipment. Under FOB terms of sale, ESPIDOS delivers the cargo to the client’s logistics operator who oversees moving it from Colombia to the client’s warehouse in North America.

CIF means “Cost, Insurance, and Freight”. When ESPIDOS sells under terms CIF means that the price includes the costs of the product, plus transportation, plus insurance, and is delivered to the customer in North America, but without custom clearance processing. The client oversees paying the import expenses and carrying out the customs clearance process of the cargo. As there is a free trade agreement between Colombia and the United States, Canada, and the European Union, there are no tariff charges or duty tariffs when the textile materials of clothing are made in Colombia. When garments are manufactured in Colombia with textiles that are made in whole or in part in other countries, there is an import tax charge that the customer pays at the port of destination.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is a term of sale in which ESPIDOS assumes the responsibility of door-to-door transportation and all costs at the port of destination. This includes insurance export expenses and any other expenses incurred during shipment to the place established by the buyer. In this case, ESPIDOS must arrange all transportation and associated costs, including export clearance and customs documentation necessary to reach the port of destination plus local transportation expenses for delivery of the merchandise to the customer in North America.
